Sorry for the cliche title. It was either "facing demons" or "When to stop worrying and love the flamingos".

Whatever.

I started this back in February (earlier if you count when I sketched the griff first) and then put it down for 8 months. And just finished it up now. PShop cs and some painter 4 thrown in. Also, I flipped it horizontally at the last few renovations, figuring it pulled a "Great Wave" on me. The original composition is in my scraps. The final version has more resolution with story, at least with us left -to-right readers. Or just me. :P

facing demons by ~gruffin is beautiful with all the rich paint strokes. Quite remarkable for a digital image, but not surprising for an artist of this talent level, she does fantasy paintings with incredible details and unique perspectives. I really like how this griffin is more eagle than lion, a nice take on a classic creature. (Featured by `Aeires)

The lighting there is quite wonderful, especialling against the feathered wings.

the composition on this is awesome.. how the bad guys are all tucked into the shadows with their slimy-greens, and the good guy's got all the warm glowly light ^^

my art vocabulary is sooooooo sophistocated :P
my husband, who's also a (pretty critical) artist, looked over my shoulder and had good things to say. Said you reminded him of a rennisainse (i know i totally didn't spell that right) painter... and he liked your clouds :D
